Splice kit manufacturing


The connection of cables in oil and gas wells requires a robust and reliable solution. Such a solution is the splice kit designed and manufactured by our company. It is important that during the entire operation period of the well, which can be up to 15 years, an uninterrupted connection of the two cables must be ensured.

Our construction requires only the stripping of cable insulation and allows assembly "in the field" without special equipment (just a few wrenches).
An important condition for the operability of a cable splice is to ensure that the product is hermetically sealed. In order to do that, metal-to-metal connections, O-rings and PTFE seals are used.
The splice kit is subjected to a hydrostatic tightness test at a pressure of 800 atm. The maximum value of withstanding pressure is 1379 atm and the operating temperature is up to +250 °C.
The splice kits are available in two designs: stainless steel and nickel alloys. The latter are used in oil and gas wells with high hydrogen sulphide concentration (over 2.5%). There are only a few oil-fields under development in Russia with a high hydrogen sulphide concentration, such as 'Gazpromneft-Orenburg'. This is where products made from nickel based alloys must be used.

Today we are implementing our splice kits as an import substitute in oil and gas wells in Russia.
